Photo Elastic Stress Measurement
There is a potential challenge when using bottle glass from unknown sources and fusion is used as the manufacturing method. A Stress Photonic Inc DV19 PP instrument was used to measure compatibility of fused glass. The instrument gives a measurement of the internal shear stress of the glass, which is typically in a low Mega Pascal (MPa). Low MPa stress values are consistence with compatible material. Only compatible glass has been used for product development.
